Construction Updates
The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) issued updated guidance on essential and non-essential construcion on April 15. Public and private school construction projects are now deemed essential, and Marymount's building project was confirmed as essential by the DOB on April 23. To facilitate the start of work under the current guidelines, contractors will follow safety protocols for social distancing onsite, augmented PPE, additional cleaning of surfaces, etc.

Week of November 21

MEP:
  • SPK - lobby rough
  • Mechanical - MER room piping, cooling tower start up, FO pipe, lobby sheet metal, fin tube installation
  • Plumbing - ground floor copper rough
  • Electrical - lobby rough, emergency power feeds, bathroom fixtures, light installation
  • Low voltage - wire pulls 
Masonry - bulkhead stucco and stucco in lightwells, ground floor CMU
Drywall - framing lobby, rock on 10th floor, ceilings floors above ground, hoist comeback work
Tile - tile work on 5th floor, restrooms, and stairs; prep for kiln room; self-leveling 8th floor
Painting - priming lower levels
Misc Metal - misc steel through building
Sidewalk shed - modifying shed on 97th Street

Exterior Walls
  • north wall: hoist run window installation, metal panels installation at NW corner
  • ground floor: storefront layout and framing, waterproofing, entrance soffits
  • 5-6th floor storefront framing

The site will be closed Thursday, November 24 - Saturday, November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Tile - tile work on 5th floor, restrooms, and stairs; kiln room, lockers; self-leveling 8th floor
Painting - priming lower levels
Misc Metal - misc steel through building
Millwork - installation of bathroom vanities subtops

  • north wall: hoist run window installation, metal panels installation at NW corner
  • ground floor: storefront layout and framing, entrance soffits
  • 5-6th floor storefront framing

Saturday, December 3 (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): continuation of scope of work above



New York Department of Building standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exact timing of construction schedule is dependent upon weather conditions and may be subject to change.
