The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) issued updated guidance on essential and non-essential construcion on April 15. Public and private school construction projects are now deemed essential, and Marymount's building project was confirmed as essential by the DOB on April 23. To facilitate the start of work under the current guidelines, contractors will follow safety protocols for social distancing onsite, augmented PPE, additional cleaning of surfaces, etc.
Electrical - ground floor fixtures, light fixture in ceiling grid, installing and testing fire alarm components throughout, theater wire pulls
Low voltage - installing IDF room racks, terminating devices
Masonry - removing scaffold, completion of stucco/EIFS Drywall - 5th floor ceilings, 2nd & 3rd floor sheetrock and grid work, ceiling tiles on upper floors, taping throughout, stair soffits Flooring - carpeting upper floors/hallways Painting - priming throughout, topcoats throughout, painting stairs Misc Metal - installation of stair rails Roofing - roof membrane and flashings, installing roof pavers, all roof levels Millwork - installing of lab casework, tops and sinks, installing FT covers & general millwork Stonework - tile in labs (walls), ground floor floor/wall tile, countertops Landscaping - soil and irrigation work Sitework - prep for exterior work

New York Department of Building standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exact timing of construction schedule is dependent upon weather conditions and may be subject to change.
