The NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) issued updated guidance on essential and non-essential construcion on April 15. Public and private school construction projects are now deemed essential, and Marymount's building project was confirmed as essential by the DOB on April 23. To facilitate the start of work under the current guidelines, contractors will follow safety protocols for social distancing onsite, augmented PPE, additional cleaning of surfaces, etc.
Week of August 15
SPK - ground floor sprinkler rough in
Mechanical - cellar AHU piping, boiler flue installs, installing FTR
Plumbing - 7th-9th floor roughing, gas piping work, boiler room gas connections
Masonry - bulkhead stucco Drywall - sheetrock on 6 & 7, taping stairways (5th & 6th floors), framing on 8th floor Elevators - installing cabs for PE cars, SE hoistway work, cab install Tile - WP and tile work on the 5th floor
north wall: installing terracotta
east & west walls: off hanging rigs - gutter installation, bottom panels
Saturday, August 27 (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.): continuation of scope or work above
New York Department of Building standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exact timing of construction schedule is dependent upon weather conditions and may be subject to change.
